In a dramatic turn of events, the Ganduje Ward Executive Committee and Dawakin Tofa Local Government Executive Committee have fiercely repudiated the purported suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje.

The saga unfolded in the heart of Kano State, where Ganduje Ward, nestled within the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area, initially announced the suspension of the APC chief.

However, in a resolute joint press conference convened on the same day, Ganduje Ward Chairman Ahmed Koko unveiled startling revelations, alleging that those behind the press conference were sponsored by the NNPP state government.

Koko adamantly declared, “From the party’s official records at all levels, they are not card-carrying members of the APC.”

Koko vehemently refuted the validity of the alleged suspension, asserting, “The purported suspension holds no weight and shall not impact the national chairman in any manner.”

Furthermore, Koko announced the committee’s proactive stance, revealing their intention to pursue legal recourse against the implicated individuals.

He emphasized, “The Ward and Local Government Executives have identified the perpetrators and are poised to take them to court for impersonation and a deliberate effort to tarnish the Party’s reputation and that of the National Chairman.”

Amidst the turmoil, Koko issued a plea for serenity among party loyalists, urging, “We implore all members to disregard the purported suspension and maintain composure during this challenging time.”

The suspension, orchestrated by Haruna Gwanjo and fellow ward executives, alleged corruption charges against the former governor of Kano. Gwanjo emphasized that Ganduje must address longstanding corruption allegations, particularly regarding his involvement in the notorious dollar scandal.

As the political landscape in Kano simmers with tension, the repercussions of this conflict reverberate far beyond state borders, casting a shadow over the future trajectory of the APC.
