APC National Chairman Ganduje addresses alleged suspension drama

The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje has broken his silence regarding his reported suspension by his ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State, likening the situation to a scene from the popular entertainment channel, Africa Magic.

Ganduje made these remarks while receiving official reports on Saturday’s governorship primary election in Ondo State from the committee led by Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, on Tuesday.

The purported suspension was pronounced by the ward’s legal adviser, Haladu Gwanjo, citing an alleged bribery case against Ganduje and his wife.

Gwanjo claimed the decision was made by nine executive members of the APC ward.

Despite efforts by the Kano APC to counter the move, including the suspension of the ward executives involved, a Kano High Court order temporarily restrained Ganduje from acting as APC national chairman.

However, this injunction was later suspended when Ganduje obtained another Federal High Court injunction.

Addressing the audience, Ganduje accused the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, of orchestrating his suspension to discredit him, labeling the situation as “Africa Magic.”

Earlier, the Forum of All Progressives Congress State Chairmen expressed solidarity with Ganduje during a visit to the party’s secretariat in Abuja.

Speaking on behalf of the forum, Cornelius Ojelabi, the acting chairman, reaffirmed their support for Ganduje and condemned the alleged impostors attempting to disrupt the party’s progress.

Ojelabi emphasized their unwavering allegiance to Ganduje, praising his leadership and commitment to advancing the APC’s agenda.

The gestures from the state chairmen underscored a show of support for Ganduje amidst the unfolding drama surrounding his purported suspension.
