President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to jet out of the country on Friday to London for medical check-up, according to his spokesman, Femi Adesina, barely two months after returning from a similar trip to the United Kingdom.
The president is also expected to be back in the country during the second week of July, Adesina said in a two paragraph statement without providing further explanations on the nature of the president’s medical trip.
“President Muhammadu Buhari will proceed to London, the United Kingdom on Friday, June 25, 2021, for a scheduled medical follow-up.
Before this year’s, Buhari was last in the UK in April 2019, for more than 10-days in what presidential spokesman, Adesina described as a private visit, but was seen as a medical trip as usual.
