The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Tuesday retained its benchmark interest rate at 11.5 percent at the end of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting in Abuja.
The regulatory bank monetarists also retained the Cash Reserve Ratio at 27.5 percent, Liquidity Ratio at 30 percent and maintains Asymmetric Window of +100 and -700 basis points around the MPR.
Governor of the CBN, Godwin Emefiele at a briefing in Abuja disclosed that the decision to retain the benchmark interest rate was unanimously taken by the monetarists at the meeting.
