In a bid to ensure the safety of passengers and bolster the health of the civil aviation industry, the Federal Government has directed the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to conduct a thorough audit of all domestic airlines.

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, made this announcement during an interview on Channels Television on Thursday.

Keyamo emphasized the importance of auditing all carriers beyond the recent suspension of Dana Airlines, highlighting the need for stringent safety measures across the board.

The decision comes in the wake of heightened scrutiny following the suspension of Dana Airlines, which was prompted by safety and financial viability concerns.

Keyamo defended the move, asserting his authority to safeguard national security interests.

He assured Nigerians of the government’s dedication to upholding aviation standards and fostering a safe flying environment for all.
