WAEC releases SSSCE examination results, records 65% success
Final year Students of secondary schools who wrote this year’s Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination can now go to check their results as the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) released the results of the 2020 SSSCE examination on Monday.
Students who wrote the examination have been enjoined to check their results by visiting the official website of WAEC.
Head of the National office, Patrick Areghan, said a total of 1,549,740 registered for the examination with 86.99 percent of those who wrote the examination obtained credit and above in a minimum of five subjects.
According to him, 1,338,348 students obtained credit and above in a minimum of five subjects – with or without English Language and/or Mathematics.
He said 1,003, 668 candidates representing 65.24 percent obtained credits and above in a minimum of five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
The release of the results was postponed till Monday, November 2, 2020, due to the violence and arson in the country.
