Trailer accident in Lagos cause damages to shops
A trailer lost control at Iyana-Ipaja in Lagos after it developed brake failure late Monday and crashed into shops in the area, according to information from an eye witness.
An official of the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps said the accident occurred on Monday at about 10 PM. The official, however, declined any press interaction and decided to remain anonymous.
The official, who was with his colleagues at the time of the accident, said the trailer was descending the Iyana-Ipaja bridge before it suddenly developed brake failure.
The driver lost control and crashed into a row of shops by the side of the road, just by the foot of the Iyana-Ipaja overhead bridge near the roundabout in front of the motor park.
No life was, however, lost but the crash caused some damages to shops within the area, according to another witness at the scene of the accident.
