The Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporations and Government-Owned Companies has initiated an indefinite strike, accusing the management of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) of neglecting critical staff welfare issues.
In a statement on Monday, the union noted management’s failure to address concerns surrounding the 2024 promotion examination results and various unresolved matters.

Union secretary, Ejor Michael, emphasized that the strike was driven by longstanding grievances, including promotion examination reforms, unresolved training placements for regional staff, and the appointment of key directors.
The workers’ protest follows a series of unproductive meetings with NAFDAC’s management.
