Rivers State Gov Fubara unveils economic revival plan

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State struck an optimistic tone on Wednesday at the state’s Economic and Investment Summit, outlining a comprehensive plan to restore economic vibrancy and attract investment.

Themed “Rivers Emerge: Advancing Pathways to Economic Growth and Sustainability,” the summit served as a platform to showcase new opportunities and incentives for both local and foreign investors.

“The journey to restore the status of Rivers State as economically viable has commenced,” Governor Fubara declared. “We are more prepared than ever to implement policies and programs that will help boost our economy and improve our earnings for the benefit of our people.”

The summit highlighted potential across various sectors, including agriculture, oil & gas, agro-processing, and aluminum.

Governor Fubara emphasized the state’s commitment to attracting investors in these key areas, aiming to revive Rivers State’s industrial prowess and generate much-needed job opportunities.

“We are truly prepared to welcome committed investors,” Fubara stressed. “Their participation is crucial to create jobs and employment for our teeming youths.”

The Governor expressed confidence that the summit’s outcome would serve as a “valuable compass” for future policy decisions, guiding the state towards a brighter economic future and improved living standards for its citizens.
