President Bola Tinubu swore in ministers to his cabinet on Monday, nearly three months after his inauguration.
Tinubu appointed former investment banker Olawale Edun as finance minister and coordinating minister for the economy and his lawyer, Lateef Fagbemi as the minister of justice and Attorney General.
Heineken Lokpobiri as the junior minister of petroleum and Ekperipe Ekpo as the junior minister of gas resources.
President Tinubu, like his predecessors, will hold on to the portfolio of Petroleum Minister in addition to his other responsibilities as Nigeria’s chief executive.
The immediate past governor of Jigawa state, Mohammed Badaru was sworn in as the minister of Defence while a former Vice Chancellor of Base University in Abuja, Tahir Maman as education.
The ministers are being sworn in in batches of five each by the president after their recitation is read by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale.
