President Buhari returns from 2-week medical trip
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday returned to the country after two weeks medical trip to the United Kingdom.
President Buhari was received at the airport by top government functionaries, including his chief of staff, Ibrahim Gambari and the newly appointed acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.
Buhari left the country on March 31, after meeting with the security chiefs in the presidential villa in Abuja.
President’s medical trip was his since the advent of the Coronavirus pandemic last year when the global lockdown was enforced to contain the spread of the disease.
Buhari was last in the UK in April 2019, for more than 10-days in what presidential spokesman, Adesina described as a private visit, but was seen as a medical trip as usual.
