President Buhari meets services chiefs, other members of security council

President Muhamadu Buhari on Thursday presided over the National Security Council (NSC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja in a bid to find solutions to the intractable insecurity in the country.

The meeting, which is held at the Council Chambers, has Secretary to the Government of the Federation; Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno in attendance.

Others are the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema; Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi and Minister of Defense, Bashir Magashi

Chief of Defence Staff, Lucky Irabor, Chief of Army Staff, Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Awwal Gambo; the Chief of Air Staff, Isiaka Oladayo Amao; and the Chief of Defense Intelligence, Samuel Adebayo, are also in attendance.

Also in attendance are the Inspector-General of Police, Baba Usman; the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Yusuf Bichi; and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.
