Nigeria’s SunTrust Bank appoints two ex-central bankers as Chairman, director
Nigeria’s SunTrust Bank has elected Olanrewaju Shittu, a former director at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as its board Chairman to replace Jibril Aku.
The lender board has also appointed Mohammed Datti Yola as a Non-Executive Director, Subject to the approval of the CBN.
Shittu, who retired as a director at the CBN in 2018, holds an MBA degree, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and an Associate (ACTI) Chartered Institute of Taxation, Nigeria.
Datti retired as General Manager at the National Pension Commission (PenCom). He earlier worked at CBN where he rose to the position of a Senior Bank Examiner before joining other commercial banks.
He is a holder of an MBA degree and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
