Nigeria appoints five pre-shipment operators for non-oil exports

Nigeria on Tuesday appointed three Pre-shipment Inspection Operations (PIOs) to coordinate its non-oil exports sector effective from January 15, according to a circular issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The PIOs are; Anglia International Services to oversee non-oil exports from the NorthWest, West and central, the circular signed by the regulatory bank’s Director of Trade and Exchange, OS Nnaji said.

Neroli Technologies will oversee non-oil exports from the South West and South East, while Gojoopal Nigeria Limited is to oversee non-oil exports from the South East and North East.

The statement also noted that the government has also appointed monitoring agents to oversee the activities of the Pre-shipment inspection agents.

Two companies appointed are Foops Integrated Services to monitor the agents handling non-oil export pre-shipment in the Noth East, North West and North Centre while Ace Global Depository will monitor agents overseeing non-oil exports in the South East, South West and South-South.
