The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 41-year-old man, Tolulope Olowu, for allegedly stabbing his 33-year-old neighbor, simply identified as Pablo, to death.

Olowu and Pablo, both residents of First Unity Estate in the Badore area of Ajah, Lagos State, reportedly had an altercation over a parking space on their street.

The misunderstanding, despite efforts by co-residents to settle it, degenerated into a fisticuff during which Olowu reportedly stabbed Pablo to death.

The state police public relations officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday.

Hundeyin said the incident happened on Saturday around 10 p.m. at First Unity Estate, in the Badore area of Ajah.

He said the case was reported to the Langbasa Police Division on Sunday at about 2 a.m.

“Based on the report, a team of detectives from the Langbasa Police Division visited and photographed the scene.”

“The corpse has been evacuated and deposited at the morgue of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, Yaba, for autopsy.”

Hundeyin said the suspect has been arrested with an exhibit of crime while an investigation is in progress.
