Kidnappers abduct students, staff of Kaduna polytechnic

Kidnappers struck again in Kaduna State, attacking the Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic in Zaria, and abducted a number of students and staff.

Witnesses said the kidnappers wielding dangerous weapons, came to the polytechnic on Thursday night, and forcefully moved the students and their lecturers into the forest.

Although the authorities are yet to react on the incident,  witnesses said one student might have been shot as pandemonium ensued in the polytechnic during the attack.

In a tweet, ex-Senate Shehu Sani said despite the presence of many military formations in the area, the kidnapper were able to succeed in their operations.

“Our schools have become sitting ducks for terrorists and Bandits; Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic in Zaria, Kaduna State is attacked and students were reportedly abducted. Zaria hosts a number of military formations. Tragic,” Sani wrote on his Twitter handle on Friday.
