Former minister of state for labor, Festus Keyamo, has finally found his way onto the presidential ministerial nomination list, and President Bola Tinubu sent his name to the senate on Friday to be screened for appointment.
The president replaced the name of Maryam Shetty, who was earlier nominated from Kano as a ministerial nominee.
President Tinubu also sent the name of Maigari Mahmud as a ministerial nominee, making it 48 names sent to the upper chamber for approval as ministers of the federal republic.
The communication from the president did not provide reasons for the removal of Shetty’s name from the list or her replacement.
Born on April 8, 1979, the 44-year-old is a Political and Social Activist, a qualified physiotherapist, and a passionate social entrepreneur. Her journey toward success has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Keyamo had been taunted by people on social media when his name was missing from the ministerial nominee’s list, despite his role during the presidential election as a vociferous defender of the president.
