GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria PLC has posted a total of N25.38 billion in revenue for the 2022 financial year, up from N22.45 billion in the previous year.

A regulatory filing with the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) by the company showed that the revenue grew year-on-year by 13.05 percent.

The company also recorded a total of N1.24 billion in profit before tax (PBT) last year compared with N944.75 million PBT the previous year, while its profit for the year after tax stood at N771.14 million against N658.81 million previously.

“The Board is pleased to recommend to members a dividend of N0.55 million to be paid for the year to shareholders, representing 55 kobo per ordinary share, subject to the approval of shareholders.

“The dividend will be payable on May 25, 2023. Withholding tax at the applicable rate will be deducted at the time of payment and will be paid to the appropriate state or federal tax authorities,” the firm said in the details of its financial report published on the NGX website.

Already, the company has scheduled its annual general meeting of shareholders for June 7, 2023, where the decision on the dividend payout will be taken.

“If the dividend recommended is approved, the dividend would be paid electronically on Thursday, June 8, 2023, to holders of shares whose names appear in the Register of Members at the close of business on Thursday, May 4, 2023, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their bank accounts.

The company also said that for the purpose of qualification for dividend payment, “the Register of Members and Transfer Books of the Company will be closed from the commencement of business on Friday, May 5, 2023, to Thursday, May 11, 2023, both days inclusive, for the purpose of qualifying for dividend and attendance at the Annual General Meeting.
