Ekiti Governor, Fayemi hands over to deputy after tests positive to Covid-19
The Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi handed over power to his deputy, Bisi Egbeyemi after he tested positive for Covid-19.
Fayemi had been previously tested twice with the results coming out negative.
The deputy governor, Egbeyemi will now act in his absence as the governor proceeded into self isolation as a result of the infection.
The governor wrote on his Twitter handle Wednesday that; “I took my third Covid-19 test yesterday and it came back positive.
“I am generally okay and I’m already self-isolating at home and receiving the best of care from my medical team.
“I’m delegating critical tasks to my Deputy, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, but will continue routine duty from home. JKF”
