Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladelusi becomes chairman Ondo council of Obas

Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, the Deji of Akure Kingdom on Tuesday was appointed as the chairman of the Ondo State Council of Obas by the Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor,  Richard Olatunde said the Deji appointment follows the expiration of the two-year single term tenure of the immediate past Chairman of the council, Oba Fredrick Akinruntan, who is the Olugbo of Ugboland.

“The tenure of the new chairman starts today (Tuesday), 14th September 2021.

“Governor Akeredolu appreciates the council under the leadership of the former chairman, the Olugbo of Ugboland, who did excellently well and gave all necessary support to ensure that the good people of Ondo State enjoy good governance,” part of the statement read.

The governor charged the new chairman to improve on the record of his predecessor by working in harmony with his brother Obas and the government in ensuring the development of the state.
