CIBN to elect new President on Apr 9 at institute AGM

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) plans to hold its 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the election of officers who will run the affairs of the Institute for a period of two years (2022 – 2024).

The AGM and election of new Officers is scheduled for Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Ijewere Hall, Bankers House, Victoria Island, Lagos, at 10 am.  President/Chairman of Council, of the Institute, Bayo Williams Olugbemi will preside over the AGM.

The offsite electronic voting system will be opened to all financially up to date members of the Institute at 12.01 am (WAT), Wednesday, April 6 and closes at 12.01 am (WAT) on Saturday, April 9, 2022.

In line with the Institute’s tradition, Chairmen and Chief Executives of banks, Past Presidents of the Institute, Presidents of other professional bodies, top Government functionaries, Fellows, Honorary Senior Members, Associates and other relevant stakeholders have been invited to attend the meeting and also exercise their franchise to elect new officers.

The meeting will consider the Annual Reports and Accounts of 2021 operational performance of the Institute and other important matters affecting the industry and the welfare of members.
