“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” —1 John 3:1 (ESV)
From the beginning of creation, God’s purpose for His people is to have them knitted together, fellowship with them, and grow them into a big family.
In the garden of Eden, after God created Adam and Eve, He visited them each day, come down into the garden and fellowship with them until sin came and separated the man and his wife from God.
God equally separated Abraham for himself and through him, established a family for himself and a nation of God, specially dedicated to serve God.
He chose to guide them through His law, and each time the nation of Israel rebels against Him, He punished them with His anger until they repent and come back to Him and He always forgives and restores them back to Himself.
He later sent His son, Jesus to bring an end to physical sacrifices.
In a few days’ time, we shall all be celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ who has brought us into God’s family.
We must all understand that we are special people separated for God. Through Christ our Lord, we are engrafted into God’s family.
Today, we are one family, a family of God. Ain’t you happy to belong here? Ain’t you glad that you are called the sons and daughters of the most high?
His blood has redeemed us from eternal damnation, His love has brought us together from far and wide, Either you are a Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw, Edo, Tiv, Igala, etc, you are my brothers and sisters through Christ.
His blood of redemption is thicker than the one that flows in our veins. We all share the same DNA with Him, the reason we could be called sons and daughters of the most high.
So let’s celebrate this great opportunity to belong to His big and happy family. if we think along this line, it will so difficult for us to think evil of one another.
Our thought and actions will reflect the lifestyle of the one who engrafted us into His family and we would want to become like Him in spirit and in truth.
Let’s meditate on this as we get prepared for the merry making ahead and think of how best we can make our life impactful to others just the way Christ, whom we are celebrating this season made His life meaningful to us all
From all us at The Global Financial Digest, we wish you Merry Christmas and a happy new year
