England winger Bukayo Saka has returned to Arsenal for further evaluation of a leg injury and will miss Sunday’s UEFA Nations League match against Finland, the England national team announced on Saturday.

Saka, 22, was substituted in the 51st minute during England’s 2-1 defeat to Greece at Wembley on Thursday. Interim England manager Lee Carsley confirmed that Saka suffered a leg injury during the match.

The England squad, reduced to 22 players after Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones withdrew for personal reasons, will travel to Helsinki ahead of the crucial Group B2 fixture.

England currently sits second in the group standings, three points behind Greece after three matches.

Saka’s injury also poses a significant challenge for Arsenal, who are already without captain Martin Odegaard. Mikel Arteta’s side face Bournemouth in the Premier League next Saturday.
