Amazon’s Bezos still richest man with networth of $206. bln ~Forbes
The latest ranking on the Forbes billionaires list on Thursday showed that Jeff Bezos continues to lead the pack on the richest man in the world with total worth of $206.4 billion networth.
The Amazon founder was the first person to cross the $200 billion wealth mark when the shares in his tech firm rallied last week.
Bezos founded e-commerce colossus Amazon in 1994 out of his garage in Seattle. He runs it as CEO and owns an 11.1 percent stake.
On the second place is the cofounder of Mircosoft, Bill Gate, who is now worth $118.1 billion as of this week as the philanthropist continued to grow his wealth despite stepping down from the board of the tech firm.
With his wife Melinda, Bill Gates chairs the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the world’s largest private charitable foundation.
Another top on the ranking list is the Bernard Arnault and his family with a networth of $117.6 billion, he is the owner of LVMH in France.
One of the world’s ultimate taste-makers, Bernard Arnault oversees an empire of 70 brands including Louis Vuitton and Sephora.
In November 2019, LVMH struck a deal to buy American jeweler Tiffany & Co for $16.2 billion, believed to be the biggest luxury brand acquisition ever.
